Yes, I know that this is a sore topic, but, I think you should at least look at what the tools offer and then go from there.

Sometimes, we resist technology because we don’t really understand it and also based on what we’ve heard from others.

I think you’ll be surprised at how the tools can help you do things like research, planning, doing outlines, etc.

I know that some of you use Grammarly, did you know it uses AI?

Always remember that you’re the expert, the AI is just a tool.

From generating blog posts to optimizing for SEO, these tools offer a range of features that can be incredibly useful. But not everyone is convinced.

Many travel bloggers argue that relying on AI could dilute the authenticity and creativity that make travel writing the art that it truly is.

The Good

• Speeds up content creation

• Helps overcome writer's block; you can use it for ideas to help jumpstart your writing

• Optimizes content for SEO and engagement

The Not-So-Good

• Risk of generic, less personalized content

• Potential for outdated or inaccurate information; the tools are getting much better these days at accessing current information

• May reduce the creative joy of writing

What This Means for You

As travel industry and travel marketing pros, it's essential to understand the capabilities and limitations of these AI tools. While they can be a great asset for generating ideas and speeding up the writing process, they shouldn't replace the unique voice and insights that only human writers can provide.

But note that some tools allow you to teach it your cadence and rhythm. You give it something you’ve written and it emulates your style. All you have to do is ensure its correctness and do some edits.

Consider how you can:

1. Use AI tools to handle routine tasks and free up time for creative work; the tools can create ad copy and social media copy to name two

2. Ensure that AI-generated content is reviewed and personalized by human writers; this is key

3. Highlight the unique, authentic experiences your brand offers; in software like Canva, you can teach it your brand and create a kit that it remembers each time you ask it to generate something. You can do the same in most of the popular AI tools, like chatGPT.
