[Kerwin At AI Travel Pulse] Three Things I've Learned About Using AI
It's time for a catch-up, and I'll tell you three things I've learned over the last few months about AI, and I'll give you a prompt that you should use; no hesitation.

Hi AI Traveler,
I hope you are well today.
A quick update as I've been missing for a bit.
But it’s ‘cause I've been busy with Claude (one of the many Large Language Models (LLMs)). I've been using Claude for many months now, but the last two have been the most productive yet.
It’s definitely changed how I work. I'm still the travel expert; Claude is still the tool.
It won't replace my developer and I, but it is speeding up my deployment of new tools to my website users.
With Claude's assistance, I've created at least 10 new tools for my audience. I've also analyzed a lot of data to help me make decisions. My biggest issue is that I can’t keep up with my own brain as I keep asking Claude stuff and it keeps creating them :-).
Plus, Google Gemini, another LLM, has created numerous images for various projects. These would have taken many iterations with my developer.
I've also used Perplexity (another LLM), Claude and Gemini to help two of my clients in their businesses.
I'd be remiss if I said it’s been easy. It hasn't. :). I've had numerous late nights, and arguing with a machine can be fun (I’m a computer geek), but tiresome. But as the expert, I give it requirements, it gives me solutions, I test, give feedback and direction, and in the end, I have a product that works well enough.
Here's one thing I’ve created that's been a gap in travel for eons. I've tried to create this several times without success, and after a few days of direction and testing, voila; a way to find all the alliances associated with an airline (https://www.passrider.com/airline-partner-explorer/):
It’s not perfect, as you can see, and I still have some formatting to get done. I constantly fight with the LLM and my website theme :-). But when you code, you ensure the functionality works, then you make it pretty :-) and make sure you don’t break as you do so.
Things I’ve Learned
Don’t just throw the idea at the LLM; give it direction
Tell it where the true source of the information lies; otherwise, it will just get it from sources you may not like and are not competent or up-to-date.
Learn how to use the tool first
This alone will save you headaches and money. Many of the tools use tokens, so the more back and forth, the more LLM resources you will use and the higher the cost.
With Claude, it kept locking me out when I used it too much, which is quite annoying. Once I learned how it worked, the issues reduced.
Use the Right Tool For The Right Job
Claude is terrible at images, but Google Gemini is perfect. Perplexity is good at doing research. Manus is better at it.
So pick the right tool for the job. It’s like cooking, don’t use a small pot to cook two cups of rice.

🧪 THE PROMPT LAB
Here's a prompt that you should use right now. Use it in Claude, Perplexity, Google Gemini, ChatGPT or Manus.
For <type your website URL>
<add your links for all products you sell, your social media links, any online community you have> <you can also include your About page text>
Let's do an exercise:
Who are my competitors?
What is their lead magnet?
What is their core product?
What is their specific angle?
What are they selling?
What needs are they not filling today?
What are their customers complaining about?
What is my product gap?
Who are my customers?
Where are they hanging out online?
What are their pain points?
Am I filling it? or Is there a product gap?
That’s all I got this time. See you again in the regular format soon.
