USING AI IN TRAVEL
Answering Travel Questions

A friend sent me the following message:

It’s been a while since I've been to Buenos Aires, so the information I have is outdated and as they’re leaving next week, I won’t have enough time to visit and report back :).

So, as I do with any request I get, I go do some legwork of my own. I try to use the airport websites, Tourism Board’s websites, etc. or if I know someone who has been there recently and wrote something about it I ask them.

This time I used the airport’s website for the transportation information and I used chatGPT for the restaurant information and then I went and verified the information it returned.

Then I went to Expedia who has an AI they’re testing. You can see both pieces of information below.

My Research using chatGPT

It's been a while for me to EZE. But the airport website has good info; corroborated by other information I've found in my research - https://aeropuertosargentina.com/ezeiza/Transporte 

Looks like there's Uber and a local service called Cabify - https://cabify.com/en.

In terms of restaurants, I found these:

1. Don Julio: A renowned steakhouse in Palermo, famous for its Argentine beef. https://www.parrilladonjulio.com/

2. La Cabrera: Another excellent steakhouse, also located in Palermo. https://www.lacabrera.com.ar/

3. Elena: Located in the Four Seasons Hotel, offering a mix of Argentine and international cuisine. https://www.fourseasons.com/buenosaires/dining/restaurants/elena/

4. Tegui: A high-end restaurant in Palermo, known for its innovative dishes and tasting menus. [may not still be open]

But beef is served everywhere! 🙂!
